Consultation & training of small business owners, entrepreneurs, artists and nonprofits in clarity of vision, SMART goals, strategic planning, and comprehensive and cohesive marketing.

Examples of how well I do it

I designed my own logo.

undefinedI handled the national & international PR for assorted albums produced by an experimental arts group, with most getting media coverage around the world. And, I helped get a large turnout for their weekend events & annual 3-day festival, despite the music & art not being….mainstream.

undefined I updated the brand for a 13-year business, starting with redesigning his logo. Then started his strategic plan, streamlined his internal systems, and designed & built his new Wix site, including writing entirely new content. “It’s only been a week since launch & I just had my busiest week in 13 years!”

undefinedI created every detail for launching a potential new business. This included fleshing out the concept, creating the graphics and brand, writing the first blog posts, building a website, creating graphics detailed concept development based on an idea for a business, from vision to values to voice. This included logo, starting the marketing plan, building a budget & supply list, starting a strategic plan to get them from launching with two staff to hiring several employees etc.

Refined a business’ voice then designed, built & wrote new copy for a completely revamped WordPress site…in less than a month

Santa Fe Farmers’ Market Institute

Director of Development & Communications

February 2015 – January 2020

I respectfully ask that you do not contact my previous employer/supervisor. You can contact Melissa Willis, who is listed as a reference o the Contact page. She and I worked together at both the Institute and Girls Inc.

What I did

Developed & implemented the annual strategic fundraising & marketing plans. I did the strategic planning and implemented the tasks with minimal volunteer support for fundraising from major donors, annual appeal, corporate sponsors, in-kind sponsors, events (large and small), government grants, and foundation grants. I wrote and developed design concepts for Farmers’ Market and Institute marketing, including annual reports, e-newsletters, print newsletters, print & radio advertising, two websites, posters, social media, and more.

Examples of how well I did it

undefined Increased Instagram followers 775% (from 800 to 7,000) with more engagement from followers and increased farmer participation

undefined Created detailed yet succinct one-sheets about the organization and each program & elevated the quality of design in print materials – initiatives that shifted the perception of the organization & improved donor relations – and I did it while decreasing costs

undefined Concurrently designed and helped build two complex WordPress websites, including writing the majority of the content for both.
